Today we decided to pilot use of our baby carrier. At first we were dubious that 'wearing' Eli was anything but a goofy, new-age fad. As we read more about the concept, it began to appeal to us. As noted in the picture below, it gives us the opportunity to have both hands free to read, type, or do things around the house while keeping Eli close. Eli seems to like it too - he hasn't really cried all afternoon, which may be a new record for him. In fact, as I type this in the office, Eli is resting contentedly on my chest. I think it will take some time to adjust to the visual incongruity (I look like a camouflaged kangaroo preparing for battle), but it does seem handy so far.
