We successfully weathered the first night with Eli. He is feeding aggressively, sometimes for more than an hour at a time, which is a bit hard on Shelby. But he finally slept for about two hours, giving us a much needed chance to catch up a little bit on sleep. We captured another few hours of sleep late this morning as Grandma Linda and Grandpa Mike watched over him.
Eli is exploring the world around him. This morning he left the birthing room for the first time (and setting off a baby abduction alarm in the process), tried a pacifier, and will soon learn the joy of getting a blood stick (not to mention his upcoming date with the foreskin exorcist).
